The Trump administration appealed the Federal Judge’s ruling stopping the ban from happening over the weekend, which the Court of Appeals quickly rejected. Whether he tweets attacks at the appeals court remains to be seen, but he is trying to pull off the American dictatorship so it would not exactly be surprising.
This bit from Trump’s interview with Putin resembles the countless interviews I’ve read where he  seems to praise strongman tactics and trash the United States.

O’Reilly asked Trump whether he “respects” the former KGB agent:

“I do respect him, but I respect a lot of people,” Trump said, “That doesn’t mean I’m going to get along with him.”

Trump said he would appreciate any assistance from Russia in the fight against ISIS terrorists, adding that he would rather get along with the former Cold War-era foe than otherwise.

“But, [Putin] is a killer,” O’Reilly said.

“There are a lot of killers,” Trump responded, “We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country’s so innocent?”

A Day in the life of the Fascist 2-7-16

As we already know, Donald Trump is an incredibly vain short-fingered vulgarian. Trump’s history of womanizing and reports of him interviewing based more on looks are out there.  As a fascist, he wants the optics of every move he makes to be perfect. Essentially, he needs to be able to effectively spew propaganda. Doing that requires a media friendly Press-Secretary. Sean Spicer is a failure as press secretary. He has Trump’s temperament and that makes Dear Leader very unhappy.  If Spicer goes down, or Bannon can place one of his allies as Communications director, I suspect Spicer and Preibus will both leave at the same time. This knowledge means it shouldn’t surprise you to learn that Melania is suing the DailyMail for publishing a story about her being an escort because it prevents her from profiting off of her status as First Lady, or that the military is planning on renting space in Trump Tower.

Trump’s briefing to the 9th Court of Appeals happened at night. They switched lawyers last minute because the original lawyers used to belong to a law firm that opposes the Muslim Ban.  While there, the lawyers seemed totally unprepared, probably because they did not want to defend a fascist executive order.

Betsy Devos was confirmed today in a historic vote, which saw Mike Pence be the first vice fascist to break a tie. Devos is the type of Education Secretary you appoint if you want to have an oligarchy and also disband the Department of Education. Putting Devos in this position just makes Erik Prince, the infamous mercenary and Betsy’s brother closer to power.  Congress pulled an all-nighter on Monday night to protest DeVos, and planned to pull one on Tuesday night to protest Sessions.  It appears that while Elizabeth Warren was speaking, reading a letter from Coretta Scott King about Jeff Sessions, Mitch McConnell used a senate rule to silence the dissent.

Authoritarians never take responsibility for anything, which is why Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly fell on his sword today and took responsibility for the Muslim Ban rollout, despite evidence showing he learned about it being signed before discussing with Trump.  The key to authoritarian power is to make sure you minimize and control the people coming in and out, limiting it to those who might support you. Due to these tendencies, he has tried to institute a Muslim Ban, build a wall, and gone after Voter Fraud which has a result of anti-minority Voter ID laws.  Now, the GOP is playing along. They’re trying to limit legal immigration too. Authoritarians rarely have trouble finding people to do their dirty work for them, which is why it took all of five minutes for Customs to start abusing people in violation of the Ban implemented hours before.  To make authoritarianism work, you need people who think like you to run for office. That is why we are hearing of fellow fascists putting feelers out there, like Carly FIorina, Curt Schilling, Laura Ingraham, and Peter Theil.

Steve Bannon, not to be outdone in terms of being an evil Nazi, is not only trying to influence elections in Governments throughout Europe but he is also now trying to get the Pope replaced with a Cardinal who shares his revolutionary crusading world view.

Meanwhile, in other news, Yemen is so pissed about the failed Trump raid that we are no longer able to conduct missions in Yemen.

We are living under a regime trying to impose fascism upon to us.  We are living in a regime that openly tries to profit, and threatens the career of people following the law. This is uncharted territory.

Members of the Trump administration appear to be unable to apologize for anything they do.  So, when Kellyanne Conway talks about the Bowling Green Massacre that never happened and then calls it misspeaking after doing it multiple times, you don’t believe her. When Sean Spicer talks about a terror attack in Atlanta, 3 times, even though one never happened, you don’t believe him when he claims he was obviously talking about Orlando.

After Nordstrom pulled Ivanka’s clothing line, and Trump responded with an angry tweet, Kellyanne Conway went on Foxnews to try to encourage people to buy Ivanka’s clothing line,  which is an ethical violation because Government Employees are not allowed to make public statements to benefit friends. The Democratic Coalition immediately filed an ethics complaint and the House Oversight committee issued a letter saying she should be punished for violating the rules.
Donald Trump wants to privative space and land people on mars, which has always been a Newt Gingrich thought. 6 of the Superbowl Champion Patriots have opted not to go to the White House, because of how the White House is viewed right now.  The Republicans seem to be drafting laws to unshackle the predatory credit card companies and allow them to take advantage of people again, while also trying to split up Circuit Courts they deem too Liberal.

Last week, Trump was supposed to sign a Cybersecurity executive order but it was pulled at the last minute with no explanation. It has been since been replaced by a 2200 word order calling for multiple reports to be delivered quickly. The interesting part is that the White House Chief Information Officer also abruptly left during this time.

Trump signed 3 incredibly vague executive orders to fight crime.  One of them hinted that they’re going to increase penalties for crimes against police. This could be used against protesters.  Another seemed to threaten to go down to South and Central America to fight drug lords.  Trump angry tweeted today, all in capital letter, when the 9th circuit did not change the results of the first Judge. You would think that he would have seen this coming given his fascist attacks on the judicial branch. Chuck Cooper withdrew his name from consideration for the Solicitor General job one day after it was reported he had been chosen. Cooper has a history of defending segregation and discriminations against gays and aids patients, so that isn’t much of a surprise.  Trump’s second pick for Secretary of the Army removed himself from Consideration to spend more time with his family.

A few weeks ago, a much-denied story came out that Flynn had discussed lifting sanctions with the Russian ambassador, which is a violation of the law.  This has been repeated ad nauseum here but Michael Flynn responded to being fired by working for Russian State owned media, meeting with Putin, and having several weird contacts with Russia.  Vice Chairman Mike Pence came out and said Flynn told him he never talked about the sanctions, at the time.

Today, it came out that 9 separate sources confirmed that Flynn and the Russian ambassador did in fact discuss the lifting of sanctions, before the election. This constitutes a violation of the law, and makes the $64,000 question of “What connections does Trump have with Russia” relevant again. The denials are interesting considering the availability of recordings of the calls. It is unlikely that Flynn would be prosecuted for this, given that the 218 year-old law has never been prosecuted before, but there is no way that Flynn should be allowed to continue serving as National Security Advisor if he is actively working with Russians. Separately, CNN released a story that confirms part of the infamous Buzzfeed dossier.  Everyone in Republican leadership should be impeached over this.
A White Supremacist in Georgia went to the hospital because he had accidently poisoned himself with Ricin, but he wasn’t a minority so Trump will never acknowledge it. It is really disheartening how the Trump regime only seems to be focusing on minorities and minority crime, but that is the Bannon way. Besides, Trump would rather whine about voter fraud that did not happen. Apparently, busses of people from Massachusetts went up to New Hampshire (they did) and voted illegally (they didn’t). Busses brought people up to canvas. I know because people I know are involved.

Friday night, a wave of ICE raids began. They said they were only targeting drug dealers and criminals, but the rumors persisted all weekend that Immigration was hanging out on street corners and targeting churches to round up Illegals. It is unclear if this is part of Trump’s impending deportation force or business as usual.  What I do know is that to do deportations on the level they’re planning on doing requires a vast expansion of detention centers that will be compared to internment camps, and the hiring of a lot more immigrations enforcement agents. Why should our largest minority group have to live in fear of our xenophobic fascist president? These are basically gestapo tactics.

Today, Donald Trump is supposed to be meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for golf.  The Japanese were supposedly very excited about this.  So, why did they shove the press in a room together, cover the windows in Mar-O-Lago so the media couldn’t take pictures of them Golfing?

Is it possible they weren’t golfing? That maybe Trump was meeting with the owner of this plane, an Airbus owned by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovev? Trump and Rybolovev do have a history of being in similar places during the campaign, and Trump did sell him his mansion in 2008.  If that is not enough to weird you out,  Dmitry owns 10% of the Bank of Cypress where Trump’s Commerce Secretary sits on the board.

On This Week with George Stephanopoulos, he interviewed resident Nazi White House advisor on Public Policy,  Stephen Miller, who proceeded to make unprovable voter fraud claims and talked about ICE raids as if they were not a big deal. He was referring to illegals being deported as people about to commit crimes that we are stopping.  But, as most dictatorships do, he escalated the attack on the Judiciary branch of the US Government.  It is only a matter of time before they start ignoring court orders. It is worth noting how much Miller hates minorities and his ties to the White Nationalist movement.  Miller is a former aide to Jeff Sessions, and this talk about voter fraud means that voting is going to get a whole lot harder and more exclusive soon.

An article came out about the intelligence community being distant from Trump because they feel like the Kremlin has ears in the White House and even refused to give Michael Flynn’s senior aide the security clearance requested to join the National Security Council.

“Now those concerns are causing problems much closer to home—in fact, inside the Beltway itself. Our Intelligence Community is so worried by the unprecedented problems of the Trump administration—not only do senior officials possess troubling ties to the Kremlin, there are nagging questions about basic competence regarding Team Trump—that it is beginning to withhold intelligence from a White House which our spies do not trust.”

One of Trump’s close friends, CEO of Right Wing Newsmax came out and stated that Reince Priebus is the entire problem in the White House and should be fired.  So, the problem is not that Sean Spicer is an angry press secretary, that Conway is an ethical disaster, or that Michael Flynn is a Russian spy….but that Preibus isn’t close enough to Trump?

Betsy Devos had a bad weekend. First, she was blocked from entering a Public School in Washington DC, and then the Department of Educations Twitter handler spelled W.E.B. DuBois name wrong, took 4 hours to fix it, and then had a typo in its apology tweet.
